About Me

Certified Personal Trainer

Rachel has always been an active person. She started climbing in 2007 and fell in love with the sport. Early struggles with plateaus and overuse injuries prompted Rachel to learn about training for strength and injury prevention. She soon became passionate about the process, and put that passion into practice, opening a business in Oklahoma City to build training plans and offer coaching for climbing athletes. Rachel expanded her business to offer fitness training for anyone after earning more certifications and becoming interested in calisthenics and injury rehabilitation. She has helped multiple clients of various ability levels safely build strength, mobility, skills, and endurance. Rachel is excited to pursue her passion to help people progress through individualized and customized training, whether for climbing or for fitness or for life in general.

Rachel is a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is also a Performance Enhancement Specialist through NASM. Rachel is a certified Performance Climbing Instructor and a Calisthenics Expert. She is a Strong First certified Bodyweight Instructor (SFB). Rachel is currently pursuing both the Strong First certifications for kettlebell instruction (SFG1), and a masters degree in exercise science.

Training

Core Class – The Silos OKC

Tuesday & Thursday: 6:15 – 6:45

Join me at The Silos OKC for a total core class every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:15pm. This is a 30 minute total core class with progressions provided for exercises to suite all levels.

Lead Climbing 101 – The Silos OKC

Every Other Wednesday: 6:15

Lead climbing 101 is offered every other Wednesday at the Silos OKC. To ensure availability call the silos for scheduling.

In Person Climbing Session

In person climbing personal training sessions are an excellent way to learn new skills on the wall. I can help evaluate your current strengths and weaknesses and suggest techniques and drills to take your climbing to the next level in a one on one format.

To take your climbing even further – sign up for performance climbing coaching with me through Climb Strong and I’ll build a personalized training plan. Training plans are not included for the in-person sessions.

Calisthenics and Mobility Training

I offer calisthenics and mobility work. Training with your own bodyweight and very little supplemental equipment. In-person and online availability.

Training Rates

  • Core classes at the Silos OKC are included with your day pass or membership.
  • For lead climbing 101, contact the silos for scheduling and rates.
  • Climb Strong coaching rates depend on the coaching level selected. See the Climb Strong website for details and to sign up.

In Person Climbing Session or General Fitness Session or Consultation
One hour, 1 on 1, in-person
Billed in 15 minute increments
At a Stoneyard gym, home gym, or online
Immediate in-person feedback to improve your climbing technique
Provide a list of drills you can work on your own to continue improving between sessions
Technical skills, strength and tension skills, mental skills, etc.

Personal Training Subscription

Does NOT include climbing skills or training. Sign up with Climb Strong for a climbing training plan.

Regularly updated and customized training plan based on your individual goals.
Two 60 minute long in person sessions or online consultations
